No, Valentines Day has nothing to do with anesthesia. In fact, we hope the only “anesthetic” you experience today is the kind Edgar Allen Poe described in the following way:

My wife is entering her 3rd trimester of pregnancy with our first child. We are expecting a little girl in May!

I have not seen her yet (except for the sneak peek on ultrasound).

But my heart is already wrapped around this little being that kicks back at me when I rub mommy’s belly. She seems to “know” that daddy is there.

Maybe it’s all in my head, but that’s OK cause it feels great.
